🐾 Now the pieces start coming together

In this step, we combine the “S” and “T” movement with something your dog already knows from the standing stay:

the closed hand.

We still work from a stationary position for now.

🔄 The sequence

Start with your dog beside you and follow the familiar pattern:

➡️ Say “S”
➡️ Move the hand straight up – the dog makes the small hop
➡️ Say “T”
➡️ Guide the hand straight back down into the Stand
➡️ Close the hand into a fist
➡️ The dog remains standing and focuses on the hand
➡️ Wait briefly
➡️ Reward

🧩 Connect it to the standing stay

The closed fist is already familiar from the previous training.

So after the dog lands in the Stand, he should recognize:

“The hand is closed – I stay here and wait.”

This creates a clear connection between the two parts we have trained separately:

S → hop → T → Stand → closed hand → stay

🎯 Our new starting position

This sequence will become the starting point for adding movement in the next steps.

For now, focus on making the transition smooth and clear.

💡 The execution and the standing stay are now beginning to come together into one complete exercise.
